Audi R8 V10 launched in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jun 25 (UNI) Audi, the German Luxury car manufacturer today launched its latest version Audi R8 V10 Plus in the city.
Talking to reporters here after the launch, Audi-Hyderabad Managing Director Rajiv Sanghvi said that the Audi R8 was lighter and more powerful than the earlier version. The weight of the vehicle was also almost reduced by 50 kgs. In terms of the engine it was powered by a 5.2-litre, which has an output of 610bhp. In terms of performance, the car does the 0-100Km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 330Km/h.
He said it has several unique features. “ For the time when you do not need the full power of the advanced Cylinder-on-demand technology automatically shuts down five of the tem cylinders. This improves fuel consumption, particularly in city traffic. Accelerate on the open road again, and within milliseconds, all ten cylinders-and full engine power are seamlessly back at your disposal”.
Mr Rajiv said “ The engine is mated to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox with three automatic modes and optional manual control. It sends power to a permanent Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) system equipped with a front electrohydraulic multi-plate clutch. The rear end hosts a mechanical differential lock, which helps provide optimal traction on any road condition”.
The next generation Audi R8 V10 Plus is priced at Rs 2.62 crore (ex-showroom-Hyderabad), Mr Rajiv said and added Audi-Hyderabad was the highest selling (9 units) dealership for R8 series which was launched three years back in the country. “ Three bookings have been made during 2016-2017 including the new version of Audi R8 V10 Plus”.
He said, Audi-Hyderabad has 2700 strong customers base. Total of 590 units were sold out during 2015-2016. Of them 70 per cent of units were sold out in Telangana and 30 per cent in Andhra Pradesh. Audi Q3 was the most preferable model in two Telugu speaking states, he added.
