Atwal not acceptable as Congress candidate for Nakodar-Samra

Jalandhar, Jan 15 (UNI) Former Punjab minister and senior Congress leader Amarjit Singh Samra today said that Gurwinder Singh Atwal was not acceptable to him and other party leaders of Nakodar as a Congress nominee from Nakodar constituency.
Interacting with the mediapersons here, he said, "any other candidate whether it would be Pargat Singh or Jagbir Barar would not only be welcomed but they would be helped and supported to such an extent they won the election with a margin of votes more than 25,000 from this constituency. If Atwal is fielded, the Congress workers would work hard to make him lose his security."
Mr Samra, four times Congress MLA from Nakodar had declined to contest election from Nakodar this time due to poor health.
