ATUM - world’s first integrated solar roof receives IEC CB , UL 61730 certification

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) Global safety science company, UL, has certificated ATUM (world’s first integrated solar roof) , a product of Visaka Industries Limited (VIL) as per the latest International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and UL standards for successfully passing the solar photovoltaic (PV) module tests.
The only renewable energy solution comprising an integrated roof and solar panel, ATUM can be managed on a smartphone.
The certification complies with the IEC Standards revised in March 2016, enabling World’s first integrated solar roof, ‘ATUM’ to position itself in the markets of Europe, Latin America and Africa among 50 other countries, VIL said in a release here on Wednesday
Speaking on the accreditation, Visakha Industries Joint Director Vamsi Krishna G, said, “We are proud to have partnered with UL for IEC 61216:2016 and UL 61730 certification for ATUM roof solar-panels."
"A breakthrough invention in the field of sustainable energy, ATUM is an Integrated Solar Roofing System that serves all the functions of a traditional roof while generating energy," he said we manufacture integrated solar panels with a cementitious substrate base.
"It has better thermal conductivity than a traditional roof while adding an aesthetic element to the roof," he said.
"This certification opens up market avenues for us in over 50 countries," he added.
