Attack on CJI Gavai sparks outrage; political parties demand strong action

Hyderabad, Oct. 6 (UNI) Strong condemnation poured in from political parties and leaders over the shocking attempt by an advocate to attack Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice B R Gavai inside the Supreme Court.
In a separate statement, TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud described the incident as an attack on the dignity of the country’s judiciary and the very foundations of constitutional protection.
“The attempted attack on the honorable CJI is a shame to our democracy and the prestige of the judiciary,” he said, demanding that the Central Government take immediate steps to ensure such incidents do not recur.
