ATP ranking: Ramkumar scoots to career best 168th rank
ATP ranking: Ramkumar scoots to career best 168th rank

New Delhi, Jul 17 (UNI) Indian tennis player Ramkumar Ramanathan scooted ahead by 16 places in the ATP Rankings to his career best rank to 168 in singles released today. The 22-year-old earned 48 points from a second place finish at the Winnetka Challenger in USA recently. With this feat he is now India's best ranked singles player ahead of Yuki Bhambri (212), Prajnesh Gunneswaran (214), N Sriram Balaji (293) and Sumit Nagal (306). Ace Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna conceded a place to 22nd where as Divij Sharan (51) and Purav Raja (52) moved ahead by six and five spots respectively. Pro Leander Paes gained three places to be 59th while Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan lost eight places to end up in 98. In the women's category Ankita Raina maintained to be the highest ranked Indian women at 277 conceding three spots and Karman Kaur Thandi (400) is following her.
