Atal Ji always had a positive approach towards alliance: Nitish

Patna, Dec 25 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had always adopted a positive approach towards alliance and his emphasis on it would never be forgotten.
After paying his tributes to Mr Vajapyee on his 94th birth anniversary at S K Memorial Hall here, Mr Kumar told newspersons that Mr Vajpayee had not only shown a positive attitude towards allies of the alliance but his approach towards opposition leaders was also quite inspiring.
No other leader commanded such a high respect among all sections of the society in the recent past, he added.
Chief Minister said that the country would always remember Mr Vajpayee for his highly commendable role in politics and also for his success in maintaining atmosphere of peace and harmony in the country.
Mr Vajpayee would also be remembered for his efforts to give a new direction to the county and keep its integrity intact, CM said.
“I do have my personal reverence for Atal Ji, I had held railway, agriculture and surface transport portfolios under his (Vajpayee) leadership,” he remarked.
“I had always received his blessings and I will never forget it,” he added.
Mr Kumar said a statute of Mr Vajpayee would be installed in the state capital and an appropriate place would be selected for the purpose.
