At least a dozen dead as high rise Tower catches fire in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, Jan 31 (UNI) At least a dozen people have been feared dead including women and children as a major fire broke out in the third floor of of a high rise tower located in Joda Phatak road of this city on Tuesday night.
Police said that the fire took place in the apartment located in the third floor of Ashirwad Tower. In the incident several people have sustained serious burn injuries and have been admitted at the hospital.
As soon as the news spread a large number of fire engines rushed to the spot and fried to douse the flames.
It is being claimed that the fire spread due to a gas cylinder blast which was being used in a marriage function.
