At least 15 die as bus falls into gorge in Uttarakhand

Nainital, Nov 4 (UNI) At least 15 people were killed in a road accident in Salt of Almora district of Uttarakhand on Monday.
Relief and rescue operations are underway at the spot.
According to the information, a bus was coming from Dhumakot of Pauri Garhwal to Ramnagar in the morning.
During this, bus fell into a deep gorge near khupi. The bus was jam packed. There were 35 to 40 passengers in it. 15 to 20 passengers are reported to have died in the accident.
According to Sub-District Magistrate Salt Sanjay Goswami, the death toll is not known yet but it is feared that 15 to 20 people have died.
Five to seven bodies have been taken out. Apart from the State Disaster Management Force (SDRF), Salt and Ranikhet Police, teams of the administration are engaged in relief and rescue work at the spot.
