Assurance given to Governor by PM over Kalsa-Banduri project 'jumla': Congress

Panaji, Dec 13 (UNI) The Congress in Goa on Friday termed the assurance given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to State Governor Satya Pal Malik over environment clearance given to Karnataka for Kalas-Banduri project a 'jumla' and a 'lip service'.
In a tweet, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar said,''Worried with protest by @INCGoa of #MhadeiJagor at Jantar Mantar exposing the conspiracy of @BJP4Goa @DrPramodPSawant @narendramodi & @AmitShah to kill Goa's lifeline Mhadei, Lip service of assurance by @PMOIndia to H.E. Governor of Goa is another Jumla of @BJP4India.''
However, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat expressed hope that the assurance given to the Governor by the Prime Minister would bring some good news for the state.
