Assemby Poll: TJS to field candidates in 14 Assembly constituencies as against 8 allotted by Cong

Hyderabad, Nov 19 (UNI) Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS ) has decided to put up its candidates in 14 constituencies as against 8 allotted by the Congress in the seat sharing in the Assembly election scheduled to be held in the state on December 7.

TJS a partner of the Congress-led People's Front has announced its final list of two candidates--P.Devaiah from Waradhannapet and OU student leader N.Ramesh from Amberpet.

The curtains will be rung down at 1500 hours on Monday on the filing of nomination papers.

Authorities have made elaborate arrangements to cope with the last minute rush of contesting candidates coming to file their nominations.

At many places, candidates came in huge processions to the offices of returning officers to file their papers.

Till Saturday, about 1500 candidates had filed their papers with the independents forming the large chunk of about 900 followed by the Congress (165) and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (142).
