Lucknow, Jan 9 (UNI) The state unit of BJP will start its process to select candidates from tomorrow, for the seven-phase Assembly polls, scheduled to be held between February 11 and March 8. A meeting would be held at BJP office here tomorrow to shortlist candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections, but the topic of discussion in the party today was how to control the situation, once the party declares its final list. 'We are expecting uproar in the party after ticket distribution. This is very normal. BJP is on the upswing and all the leaders, who have shed sweat and blood to make the party strong in UP, want ticket. Those leaders who are denied tickets, will obviously feel depressed,' a senior leader in the party here said. A meeting would be held in the party office, where members of the core group will have deliberation on the candidates. They will shortlist the names and then pass the same to the high command. National president of the party Amit Shah will take a final call on this list, which is likely to be announced after January 15. UNI MB RJ 2156
