New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) As voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly progresses smoothly, Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, party National Convener and the candidate from the New Delhi constituency Arvind Kejriwal have exercised their franchise on Wednesday.
Sharing a video in a social media post on X, Kejriwal urged people to cast their votes, stating that he voted for the progress of every Delhiite and a dignified life for every underprivileged family.
“Today, I went to vote with my entire family. I cast my vote for the progress of every Delhiite and a dignified life for every underprivileged family. You should also vote with your family and inspire others to do the same. Delhi’s progress must not stop.
Hooliganism will lose, Delhi will win,” Kejriwal tweeted.
Before casting her vote, Atishi sought blessings at Kalkaji Temple.
“I prayed at Kalkaji Temple this morning. I prayed to Kalka Mai that in this crusade, goodness and development should once again triumph in Delhi, and hooliganism should be eradicated,” she tweeted.
Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh also cast his vote at St. Columba’s School in New Delhi.
Speaking to the media, Singh appealed to all voters to step out of their homes and exercise the most powerful right in a democracy—the right to vote.
“Delhiites should vote for better facilities and against hooliganism and those who seek to undermine democracy,” he said.
