Assembly panel pushes reform: Jharkhand water connections made affordable

Ranchi, Sep 13 (UNI) Residential households in Jharkhand will no longer have to bear the heavy burden of steep water connection charges.
Acting on the recommendations of the Assembly’s Delegated Legislation Committee, the state’s Urban Development Department has slashed the fees and agreed to extend free connections to families living below the poverty line (BPL).
