Assam’s COVID death toll rises to 27 as plasma therapy launched

Guwahati, Jul 9 (UNI) The death tally in COVID 19 continued to increase in Assam for the third successive day for the first time today as five more casualties pushed the overall figure to 27, while the state started plasma treatment therapy.
Among the death is a senior officer of Karbi Anglong district, becoming the first government official to succumb to the virus.
While two patients died at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and MMC Hospital (MMCH) here, one succumbed at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
