Assam Rifles recovers huge arms of ULFA/NDFB in Nagaland

Kohima, Nov 30 (UNI) The troops of Assam Rifles of the Mon Battalion today raided a hut in the paddy field in the Naginimora area under Mon district and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunitions belonged to United Liberation Front of Assam and National Democratic Front of Boroland.

In a release issued by the PRO of the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) today informed that based on input regarding presence of ULFA and NDFB cadres in Setap village under Naginimora Police Station of Mon district, the Mon Battalion of Assam Rifles mobilized a search operation along with a police representative today, wherein 21 Live rounds of 7.62mm calibre, five 9mm live rounds, one Chinese grenade and a Magazine each of Pistol and Self Loading Rifle were recovered from a Jhoom Hut. The recovered items were handed over to Naginimora Police Station for further investigation, the release said.
