Assam Rifles empowering Manipur youths by honing skills, providing jobs

Imphal, Sep 18 (UNI) Despite continuing to grapple with persistent ethnic violence, a remarkable development shines through the clouds of uncertainty in Manipur, as 58 talented youths secured honourable employment in prestigious hotels across India, signalling a new dawn of hope in their lives.
On Wednesday a celebratory event was held here at Mantripukhri to honour the successful candidates. Proud parents were invited to witness the momentous occasion, during which employment letters and National Skill Development Corporation certificates were handed out.
Thr success story stems from a Skill Development Programme jointly initiated by the Assam Rifles and ‘We Care Skill Solutions,’ since June 10. The initiative has transformed the aspirations and determination of the youths into reality, with steadfast support from both Imphal-based organisations.
