Asian Games: Tajinderpal Singh bags seventh gold for India

Jakarta, Aug 25 (UNI) Indian athlete Tajinderpal Singh Toor on day seven of the ongoing 18th Asian Games fetched seventh gold for the country here on Saturday in the men's Shot Put taking India's overall medal tally to 29.
Tajinderpal went to create new Asian Games record and a national record of 20.75m.
With Tajinderpal's dominant performance he stood first while Liu Yang of China threw 19.52 with silver and bronze went to Ivanov Ivan of Kazakhstan with 19.40m
India are now at 8th spot with 7 gold, 5 silver and 17 bronze taking overall medal tally to 29.
