Jakarta, Aug 27 (UNI) Indian Men's Table Tennis team thrashed Vietnam in quarter-final of Group D of the men's Team at the Asian Games marching into the sem-finals here on Monday.
Harmeet Desai defeated Vietnam’s Duc le Dinh 2-11, 12-10, 11-9, 11-8 to give India a 3-0 win here.
Sharath Achanta Kamal edged Tuan Nguyen Duc 11-7, 11-7, 5-11 to give India a 2-0 lead in the group D contest.
Earlier, in win-tie match, India's Sathiyan Gnanasekaran had started well as he won the first match 6-11, 11-2, 5-11, 11-4, 11-2 against Anh Tu Nguyen.

32-year-old Amalraj Anthony gave India a 1-0 lead by winning 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 in their first match against Wang Chun.

In the third match, 18-year-old Indian player Man Thakkar defeated 13-year-old Macau's Mack Tin Lan by 11-5, 11-4, 11-4 to give India a convincing victory.
