Ashwin Navratras start with religious gaiety at Kangra

Kangra, Oct 1 (UNI) Ashwin Navratra and Durga Puja today started in the Kangra temple town, the seat of one of the 52 Shakti peeths Bajjreshwari, with religious gaiety and fervor and the temples were humming up with of devotees who paid obeisance on the first day of the pooja.
The famous Survojonin Durga Puja of this district, which entered into consecutive 49th year of its inception, started today at Tara Devi Mandir, Ghurkari in the outskirts of this temple town. The festival would conclude on October 11 with the immersion of the idol Mahishasur Mardini in Banner Khad.
Today yellow clad pilgrims started thronging Bajjreshwari temple to pay obeisance. Thousands of pilgrims visited the temple and paid obeisance on first day of the Navratra today.
