ASHA workers stage dharna demanding Rs 26,000 minimum wage

Kakinada, March 28 (UNI) ASHA workers owing allegiance to CITU have staged a dharna in front of the DMHO’s office here on Tuesday raising slogans in support of their pending demands.
They demanded payment of Rs. 26,000 as minimum wage in place of piecemeal payments made by both state and central governments and providing employment to one of the family members of the deceased ASHA workers.
They further demanded providing protection to the ASHA workers, taking stringent action against those indulging in attacks on them.
