As country inches towards LS polls, Christians undertake Prayer for general good

Bengaluru, May 13 (UNI) The day after crucial assembly polls in Karnataka and as the country gets closer to Parliamentary elections, the Archdiocese of Delhi Archbishop Anil Couto has announced a prayer and fast campaign for the country and its leaders on Sunday.
“We are witnessing a turbulent political atmosphere which poses a threat to the democratic principles enshrined in the Constitution and the secular fabric of our nation,” says a letter from Archbishop Anil Couto of Delhi addressed to all parish priests and religious institutions in the archdiocese.
The letter dated May 8 was read during Masses throughout the archdiocese on Sunday, May 13.
