Arunachal’s COVID case tally rises to 55,176

Itanagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Two more individuals in Arunachal Pradesh have tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours that took the state’s tally of confirmed cases to 55,176, a senior health department official said.
On the contrary, nine people have recuperated from the ailment in the period that swelled the total number of recovered/ discharged cases to 54,835, he said.
The two fresh cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and Lower Dibang Valley.
With the COVID-19 recoveries exceeding the daily cases, the state’s active caseload has further reduced to 61, comprising 0.11 per cent of the total confirmed cases, while the recovery rate improved to 99.38 per cent.
Meanwhile, more than three thousand people across the state have received the COVID-19 vaccine doses during the last 24 hours that took its cumulative vaccination coverage to 13.32-lakh mark.
So far, 77 per cent of the state’s adult populations have been administered the first dose of the anti-COVID vaccine and 55 per cent were fully vaccinated under the Centre’s countrywide inoculation drive.
