Itanagar, Aug 1 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh on Friday recorded its highest single-day spike of 107 COVID-19 cases, taking the state's tally to 1591.
Of the 107 cases, 38 were reported from Changlang, 22 from Itanagar Capital Complex, 14 from East Siang, 12 from East Kameng, 11 from Namsai, four from Longding, one each from Lohit, Lower Dibang Valley, Lower Siang, Tirap , Papum Pare and West Kameng, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).
Among the 38 cases from Changlang , 37 are Central Para-Military Forces personnel and one case was reported from Bordumsa.
All the cases from Itanagar Capital Complex were reported from various different areas of the region including two from Banderdewa checkgate.
Among the 14 cases from East Siang, three are health care workers , two are returnees and two are truck drivers and one is an SBI staff.
Out of the 107 new cases, 104 are asymtomatic and three are symptomatic.
As per the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, 91 COVID-19 patients were discharged following their recovery from the virus.
Of the 91 discharged, 47 were from Itanagar Capital Complex, 33 were from Papum Pare, eight from Tirap, one each from Upper Siang, Longding and Lower Siang.
Arunachal Pradesh recorded 1591 COVID-19 cases so far. Out of these, active cases in the state stands at 670 , discharged 918 and three death.
