Arunachal: Journalist assaulted while on duty

Itanagar, Jun 29 (UNI) Hofe Dada, a reporter with the local digital media outlet ‘Gyoloo News’, was allegedly assaulted while on the line of duty by at least four people near here on Monday.
Dada was reporting on the SMS Smelters Ltd at Lekhi village when he was reportedly accosted by four men. He was allegedly slapped by one of the men without any provocation.
When questioned why they were assaulting him, the men reportedly questioned Dada as to why journalists repeatedly make reports on this factory in question.

COVID-19 death toll rises to 34, 89 new cases in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 18 (UNI) The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 34 with two women, aged 44 and 60, succumbed to the infection on Friday in Meghalaya, while 89 new cases were detected, taking the total number of active positive cases to 1,976.
