Arunachal Guv conveys Podi-Barbi greetings to people

Itanagar, Dec 4 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik on Monday conveyed his warm greetings to the people of the State on the eve of Podi-Barbi, a major festival of Adi community of Shi-Yomi district on Tuesday.
He expressed the hope that the festivity will usher in happiness, good harvest and prosperity in the society.
In his message, the Governor said that festivals play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the indigenous tribes. It is a time for celebration which serves as a means to pass down cultural values, stories, and practices from one generation to the next.
