Arunachal Govt decides to hand over AE (Civil) paper leak case to CBI

Itanagar, Sep 26 (UNI) In the wake of recent paper leak episode involving the State Public Service Commission (APPSC) that evoked strong protests from jobs aspirants and others, the Arunachal Pradesh Government has decided to hand over the AE (Civil) Mains exam paper leak case to the premier probe agency CBI for “free, fair, impartial and swift” investigation.
This was informed by State Home Minister Bamang Felix, also the Government Spokesperson, during a media briefing at the Civil Secretariat here on Monday.
It may be mentioned that the Itanagar Police has already arrested six persons, including a senior officer of Arunachal Public Service Commission (APPSC) for their alleged involvement in the AE (Civil) Mains Examination 2022 question paper leak case. The recruitment examination was conducted by the APPSC on August 26 and 27 last for filling up of 33 assistant engineer (civil) posts.

Repo rate hike an effort to rein in inflation: Mehul

Kolkata, Dec 7 (UNI) Mehul Mohanka, President of Indian Chamber of Commerce, on Wednesday said, "RBI raised the repo rate by 35 bps today to 6.25 per cent in an effort to rein in inflation which continues to be above desirable levels."
"RBI has broken the trend of hike by 5o bps in the last meets of the MPC. RBI’s balancing act is to let the economic growth rate unaffected which is positive for India for the year 2022-23 and is projected to be in the range of 6.5-7 per cent," according to different sources.

Arunachal paper leak case: 4 more govt officials arrested

Itanagar, Dec 7 (UNI) The Special Investigation Cell (Vigilance) of AP Civil Secretariat here probing the APPSC question paper leakage case on Wednesday arrested four more state government officials, including one finance and accounts officer (F&AO) attached with three important Govt institutions.
