Arunachal Dy CM launches DHPD 2.0, unveils new logo

Itanagar, Nov 13 (UNI) In a landmark move to strengthen the hydropower sector, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Thursday launched the basin-wise restructuring of the Department of Hydro Power Development (DHPD) and unveiled the department’s new logo and identity at the first-ever Annual Review Meeting held at the Golden Jubilee Banquet Hall, here
The restructuring, approved by the State Cabinet on May 13, 2025, marks a major reform initiative under DHPD 2.0, aimed at making the department more efficient, accountable, and technically empowered to meet the growing demands of Arunachal Pradesh’s expanding hydropower landscape.
Addressing the gathering, Mein described the day as a “historic occasion” for the department and the State’s energy sector, noting that basin-wise management would bring better coordination, decentralised decision-making, and faster project execution.

Odisha increases stipends for PG students in Ayurvedic & Homeopathic colleges

Bhubaneswar, Dec 15 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday approved a substantial increase in stipends for postgraduate (PG) students studying in Government Ayurvedic and Homeopathic Medical Colleges across the state.
The decision has been taken to encourage students pursuing higher education in Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicine.
