Arunachal: Department of English at RGU inaugurates Literary Activities Club

Itanagar, Oct 15 (UNI) The Department of English at Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS), on Tuesday inaugurated the Literary Activities Club marking a significant step towards fostering a vibrant literary culture on the campus.
Gracing the event, RGU Vice Chancellor Prof S K Nayak applauded the Department of English for establishing the first-ever club of the university. He assured his support for the future activities of the club.
In his address, Prof SS Singh, Dean, the Faculty of Languages, also praised the initiative, acknowledging the role the club would play in enhancing the literary culture of the university.

Odisha student succumbs to burns after self-immolation over sexual harassment

Bhubaneshwar, July 15 (UNI) After battling for life for almost 55 hours, an undergraduate female student, who set herself ablaze after her complaint of prolonged sexual harassment by a teacher was not addressed in a government-run autonomous college in Odisha’s Balasore district, succumbed to burn injuries late on Monday night.
