Arunachal : Army launches massive combing operations

Itanagar, May 22 (UNI) The troops of the Indian Army has launched a massive search operation in the jungles of Tirap, Longding and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh to nab the perpetrators involved in killing of National People’s Party (NPP) MLA Tirong Aboh and 10 others in the area of 12 Mile, near Khonsa of Tirap district of the State on Tuesday, a Government release said on Wednesday.
“Army sources have confirmed that all the likely routes of escape have been effectively blocked. Intensive checks along the Nagaland - Arunachal borders have also been implemented. The Army has intensified operations with increased area domination teams and mobile check posts being deployed all along with these and adjoining districts of Nagaland,” it said.
Additional forces including Special Forces troops have also been inducted to add teeth to the operations, the release said.
