Bhopal, Nov 22 (UNI) Former Union Minister Arun Yadav, who is in an eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Budhni assembly constituency, today expressed apprehension of irregularities in 100-125 polling centres and urged the Election Commission of India to make special arrangements for monitoring those centres where the Congress wins less than 50 votes despite healthy public support.
“After submitting nomination papers on November 9, I visited in excess of 200 villages and observed lack of basic facilities. Roads are pathetic, there are no arrangements for water and pensions are not received in time. Corruption is taking place vis-a-vis the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. People allege that the entire area has been given on contract to those close to the Chief Minister,” Mr Yadav said during a press conference at the party's state headquarters.
Alleging an atmosphere of fear in the constituency, he added that no commoner could raise his voice against inconsistencies.
