Article 370 was 'wall' between country and J&K's development : PM Modi

Jammu, Feb 20 (UNI) Lashing out at the dynasty rule for years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the BJP government had scrapped Article 370 which was a 'wall' between the country and J&K's development.
Addressing the public rally at the jampacked Maulana Azad Stadium here, Modi said "J&K is on the path of everlasting peace and development after scrapping the special status that had been blocked by the people who remained in power for seven decades."
He stated that 'Article 370 was a wall between the country and J&K's development and it was removed forever by the BJP government ," adding that the families that ruled J&K for 70 years never thought about the people and the youth but instead worked to keep their parties relevance to grab power again and again.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated over 220 projects worth Rs 32,000 Crore for Jammu and Kashmir.
Modi started his speech with a Dogri couplet of Padma Sachdev "Mitthdi-e- Dogrein Di Boli Te Khand Mithe Log Dogre."
He said that a movie is also coming on Article 370 that will help make people aware about certain important facts about revocation of the special status.
The PM said, "education, connectivity and development has replaced this all. Youth of J&K don't need to go out of J&K for professional courses as Kashmir and Jammu regions are emerging as the educational hubs."
He asked people of the country to give BJP 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha poll and over 400 seats to NDA.
Modi said that in the last 11 years, India has become the world's fifth largest economy and in the next five years, "we will be the world's third largest economy."
The dream of everyone will be fulfilled and it is "Modi Ki Guarantee", to make Jammu and Kashmir 'Viksit Jammu-Kashmir'.
