Lucknow, Jul 9 (UNI) Taking a jibe at the arrest of most wanted criminal Vikas Dubey from Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said that the government should clarify whether it was surrender or arrest.
In a tweet, Mr Yadav said, "It is being reported that the main accused of the 'Kanpur incident' is in police custody. If this is true, the government should clarify whether it was surrender or arrest. Alongside, the CDR of his mobile should also be made public so that the true collusion can be busted."
Eight policemen had been murdered in an attack by history-sheeter Vikas Dubey and his gang on July 2 in the Bikru village in the Chaubeypur area of Kanpur. The policemen were ambushed when they had gone to arrest the criminal. He was absconding after the incident.
