Around 8,000 safai karamcharis to be recruited:Haryana Minister

Chandigarh, Jun 15 (UNI) Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishna Kumar on Saturday said that 8,000 safai karamcharis will soon be recruited in the state.
Addressing a function organized at Shahabad in Kurukshetra district, the Minister said that a ‘Safai Karamchari Ayog’ has been constituted in Haryana. The Safai Karamcharis in the state are being provided with modern machinery, equipment and kits for cleaning, the minister said.
In the function, the Rashtriya Navnirman Sewa Samiti Sanstha of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, distributed medical kits to 200 safai karamcharis. This kit included items such as bed sheet, mask, gloves and soap.
