Around 3980 quarters of illicit liquor seized in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 23(UNI) Keeping in view the elections and the vigil on the border entry points in the national capital, Delhi Police on Tuesday seized around 3980 quarters of illicit liquor at Jharoda picket.
According to police, the vehicle intercepted in the najafgarh area was a mini tempo which had covered the liquor cartons with a layer of scrap material to evade from police checking, however the highly alert staff on intensive checking found the hidden illicit liquor.
During further investigation it was revealed that the vehicle carrying the illegal liquor was with fake registration plates.
