Around 20 cops injured in brick batting during anti-encroachment drive

Agra (UP), Sep 24 (UNI) Around 20 policemen, including a Deputy Commissioner of a Police (DCP) and an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), were injured during stone pelting during anti-encroachment drive in New Agra area of Agra city here in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that on Saturday the administration demolished illegal encroachments on government land and roads. "After the demolition drive the members of Radha Swami Satsang Sabha erected a gate on the road. The gate was later demolished by the administration," they said.
Police sources said that after a few hours the Satsang Sabha once again erected another gate late on Saturday night. "After this the revenue department lodged a case against the 12 members of the Satsang Sabha," they said.
