Around 15,791 teachers in state schools still irregulars : Minister

Shimla, Feb 16 (UNI) Around 15,791 teachers serving in the state owned schools were forced to impart education on the irregulars jobs due to lack of policy by the education department, Suresh Bhardwaj who is Education and Parliamentary Affairs minister of state informed the House on Saturday.
Minister in a written reply laid in the state Assembly during budget session today stated this in reply of volleys of queries raised by Rakesh Singha (Theog), Asha Kumari (Dalhousie) and Vikramaditya Singh (Shimla Rural).
Mr Bhardwaj said that about 11,035 teachers are working on government and Parent Teachers Association-Grant in Aid (PTA-GIA) contract, whereas the rest 4,756 teachers are working under Primary Assistant Teachers (PAT) and Parent Teachers Association (PTA) policies.
