Capetown, May 19 (UNI) A video has emerged where Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was attacked during a public appearance in South Africa.
The incident happened when Mr Arnold was taking a Snapchat video of gymnastics competetion, when an unknown person breached security and proceeded to kick him in the back, in full view of both who were competing and watching.
The footage shows the former California governor standing and filming children at a sporting event in Johannesburg when a man makes a flying kick into his back. Schwarzenegger stumbles forward and the man is quickly grabbed by security.
Mr Schwarzenegger is later seen smiling and shaking hands with bystanders before walking out ringed by security.
"Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat." the Terminator star later tweeted.
Wayne Price, organiser of the Arnold classic Africa, believe this incident was carefully planned by the offender as he is known to the police for orchestrating similar incidents in the past. "There has been a lot of excitement in Goodwill since the events began, Arnold was increased spirits and very generous with fans and athlete's alike. None of us could have for seem that something like this could have taken place.", Mr Price said in a statement.
Mr Arnold has confirmed that he has no intentions of laying charges. He views this as an unfortunate incident by mischievous fan.
