Army XI and Indian Railways set up title clash in Surjit Hockey

Jalandhar, Oct 30 (UNI) Army XI and Indian Railways set up title by winning their semi-final matches in the 35th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here tonight. The final will be held on October 31 at 6-00 p.m.
Today in first semi-finals Army XI beat Punjab Police via sudden death by 8-7 after sharing two goals in the stipulated period. In second semi finals Indian Railways prevailed over Air India Mumbai by 4-3 to enter the finals for the second time. Earlier Indian Railways were in finals in 2015 and won the tournament.
The second semi finals between Indian Railways and Air India was contested on equal terms. In the 10th minute Railways took lead from the field goal of Ajit Kumar pandey (1-0). In the very next minute equalizer came from the stick of Abharan Sudev of Air India (1-1). In the 35th minute Railways Baljinder Junior converted the penalty corner (2-1).
