Army soldier ends life by shooting self in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 23 (UNI) A soldier of the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in the border town of Keran in north Kashmir district of Kupwara, official sources said on Thursday.
They said panic gripped the camp of 6 RR at Keran in Kupwara when firing shot was heard on Wednesday night. Other soldiers immediately rushed towards the post where a soldier Lokinder Singh Thakur, a resident of Madhya Pradesh (MP), was found lying in a pool of blood.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Oct 18 (UNI) Two persons on a motorcycle died after they were rammed head on by a speeding truck on the Nandai-Mohara road on Monday, police said.
The deceased were identified as this town’s Guthla area-resident Chetan Sahu who died on the spot and Bundelikala locality’s Janak Sahu who succumbed in hospital.

Bhopal, Oct 18 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer against Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President and former chief minister Kamal Nath for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
A delegation led by Election Management Committee Convenor and state Urban Welfare and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh sought a ban on Mr Nath’s public meetings.
