Army shunts out 2 Kashmiri journalists for disrespecting national anthem

Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) The Indian Army today asked two local journalists to leave an event for showing disrespect to the national anthem and the Tricolour. The mediapersons, belonging to Kashmir Reader and Rising Kashmir, were show, the door as they kept sitting, when the National Anthem was being played and the National Flag was unfurled. The incident happened at the passing out parade of recruits at the Regimental Centre of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment. Later, one of the journalists said the Army had invited them to cover the event, not to participate in it. He said he was taking notes, when the Indian Anthem was being played. UNI MK RJ 2212
