Army pays tribute to soldier who died in line of duty in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 7 (UNI) The Army on Saturday paid tribute to Rifleman Jaswinder Singh, who died in the line of duty during an anti-militancy operation in Jammu and Kashmir.
“#ChinarCorps regrets the unfortunate and untimely demise of Rfn Jaswinder Singh while on operational duty. In this hour of grief, the #IndianArmy stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and is committed in their support,” the Army Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said in a post on X.
While the Army didn’t disclose more details, sources said the soldier of the Army’s 34 Rashtiya Rifles died on Friday due to a cardiac arrest during a cordon and a search operation in the Faqeer Gujri Dara Harwan.
