Army Chief meets J&K LG, briefs on security matters

Jammu, Jan 23 (UNI) Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane on Thursday met Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu here at the Raj Bhavan.
He was accompanied by Lt General Ranbir Singh, Army Commander Northern Command. It was his maiden visit to J&K after becoming the Chief of the Army Staff.
The Lt Governor and the Army Chief discussed several important inter-related issues concerning effective management of internal and external security, particularly in the context of attempts at infiltration and the ongoing anti-terrorist operations.

Jammu, Sep 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police have achieved a major success after recent recovery of seven kilograms of Heroin and arrest of five person who were running a narco-terrorism module recovering 11 kg of Heroine from them in total.
