Mumbai, Oct 25 (UNI) A sessions court here on Monday rejected the application filed by the NCB Zonal Director, Sameer Wankhede, seeking not to consider the bribery charges levelled against him by a witness in the cruise drugs case.
While nixing the plea, the court reasoned, “The application is not on merit as the matter is pending before the Bombay High Court. Whatever you want to say, argue at the high court.”
After the bribery charges were levelled against those involved in the high-profile case, Wankhede termed the accusations as “fake and baseless” in his application filed earlier in the day.
