Archbishop praises Pinarayi govt for rehabilitating Ockhi victims

Thiruvananthapuramm Jun 23 (UNI) Praising various steps taken by the Pinarayi Government in Kerala for rehabilitating Ockhi victims, Archbishop Dr Soosa Pakiam has called upon the neighboring States to speed up disbursal of compensation to the Ockhi victims,
Speaking at a function, organised by the Latin Archdiocese here to provide financial aid to Ockhi victims, Dr Soosa Pakiam said the Kerala Government has set an example for other states in speedy disbursal of compensation to the victims.
Listing out a series of packages including Rs 20 lakh compensation to the affected families, announced by the State Government, the Archbishop urged Tamil Nadu government to take measures on the lines of Kerala.
