APL Apollo employees donate one day’s salary to PM-CARES

New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) Over 2,119 employees of India’s leading branded steel pipes manufacturer APL Apollo Tubes Limited (APL Apollo), have voluntarily donated their one day’s salary amounting to more than Rs 21 lakh towards the PM-CARES Fund to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.



According to a statement issued by the APL Apollo on Thursday, the employees of the company have shown their commitment to the nation by voluntarily contributing their one day’s salary to aid the government’s efforts to provide relief to the helpless and needy.



APL Apollo CMD Sanjay Gupta said, 'APL Apollo is fully committed to providing all necessary support towards various relief measures announced by the government for combating the coronavirus crisis. At the same time, I want to express my deep gratitude to my team for their spirit.'



APL Apollo Tubes Limited is the largest producer of Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) steel pipes and sections in India, with a capacity to produce 2.5 million tonnes per annum.

It is the only Indian company to commission the World’s First Fully Automatic DFT Machine. With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, APL Apollo serves as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for a wide spectrum of steel products, catering to an array of industry applications.
