AP: Youth dances with gun in village festival, police say its a toy gun

Kakinada, Jan 21(UNI) A village youth seen dancing with a gun imitating cine hero Pavan Kalyan in Maridamma festival in Challapalli village of Uppalaguptham mandal in Konaseema region 60 kms from here on Thursday night became a sensation on social media.

However the police who investigated the incident clarified on Friday that it was a mere toy gun and not a real gun as was being circulated in the social media. Amalapuram sub division in charge DSP S Rambabu told media persons that rural CI Suresh Babu and Uppalaguptham Sub-Inspector Venkateswerarao had personally visited the village and made discrete inquiries and found that it was a toy gun and not a real one as was being circulated on social media.
