AP: Two nominations filed for East –West Godavari teachers constituency MLC election

Kakinada, Feb 20(UNI) Two nominations were filed on Saturday for contesting in the biennial elections to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from East and West Godavari districts teachers’ constituency .
District collector D Muralidhara Reddy who is also the Returning Officer for the election told media persons that so far only two candidates – Gandham Narayanarao a retired teacher from Draksharama, Ramachandrapuram Mandal and Palivela Veerraju a retired teacher form Rajahmundry city had filed their nominations for contesting the teachers MLC election.
Under the election schedule, the last date for nominations is February 23, the scrutiny of the nominations will be held on February 24 .
