AP to pay Rs 15,000 to perform last rites to Covid-19 deceased

Vijayawada, Jul 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that Rs 15,000 would be paid to perform last rites to those who died of Coronavirus.
The Chief Minister, who reviewed the steps being implemented to contain the spread of Coronavirus pandemic at his camp office at Tadepalli near here on Tuesday, order the officials concerned to issue an order for the disbursement of Rs.15,000 to perform last rites to those who died of Coronavirus.
The Chief Minister has taken the decision in view of the taking the bodies of deceased who died of Covid-19 in proclainers and tractors to the burial grounds. The Chief Minister instructed hospitals not to deny treatment to the Coronavirus patients. He warned of taking stringent action, including cancellation of permission to the hospitals, against those who reject providing treatment to the Covid-19 patients.
