AP to get two more laboratories, PPEs

Amaravati, Apr 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh to get two more laboratories and adequate numbers of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be supplied to the COVID-19 hospitals.
An official statement here on Thursday said that the testing labs would come up one in Guntur and the other in Kakapo, taking the total labs to six. The State has testing facilities in Vijayawada, Tirupati, Kakinada and Ananthapur. Work is in progress at Visakhapatnam to set up another centre.
The two new centers would function from April 3 and 4, State Nodal Officer, Arja Srikanth said. With the growing number of cases, more number of samples could be tested, he added.
