AP: Three tier security with 1100 police personnel at ZPTC/MPTC at the counting centers

Kakinada, September 18(UNI) East Godavari Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath Babu said here on Saturday that a three tier security has been put in place by deploying as many as 1100 police personnel of all ranks including nine DSPs at all the ZPTC/MPTC votes counting centers to ensure peaceful counting, scheduled for Sunday.
He told media persons after insppecting the security arrangements at all the ten counting centers both in the city and also in nearby Samalkot town, that prohibitory orders under section 144 and also under section 30 of police would be in force in the vicinity of the counting centers to avert any untoward incidents.
He said that barricading has been done at all the ten counting locations and COVID guidelines would be strictly enforced at all these places. SP Ravindranath Babu appealed to the people to cooperate with the police in ensuring peace at all the counting centers by avoiding assembling of more than five people at a place.
